Mafia boss Twistelli experiences several hits. The first bomb, strapped to a small boy, killed several of Twistelli's friends at a wedding; an anti-aircraft gun destroyed the money laundering warehouse, the cell phone cloning operation and a restaurant. Twistelli calls the mob to find out who is after him and why no one will get involved. Jason Wynn gives Twistelli the news: he abused Overt-Kill, a prized plaything of an Italian godfather. Curse of the Spawn #16

Abdiel has been undercover in Hell for six months. He is put in charge of gathering provisions for the welcoming of Al Simmons. He is told by Angel General Cheriour that the time to attack the Malebolgia is near. After being scorned by friends at Poacher's bar, he returns to Hell. During the arrival of Al Simmons, Abdiel is just about to attack Malebolgia when he is summoned back by Cheriour. Infuriated, he asks God if he is doing His will.
