Agent Nitz is remembering just how smug Red Crow was on the day he was acquitted the double homicide of two FBI agents.

It's just hours before Red Crow's casino opens now, and things are beginning to come to a head. Dashiell has been stalking Carol and hospitalizing her lovers. He breaks into her home and chases out another one of her boyfriends. Carol and Dash end up making impassioned love as Red Crow's casino opens to the public, Nitz recalls how he hand-picked Bad Horse for this job, and the mysterious old loner Catcher, who was once Red Crow and Gina Bad Horse's accomplice, saddles up for the coming storm.
