The Darkness/ Wolverine: "Old Wounds"

France, 1942. The Nazis have dispatched the most ruthless and effective assassin the world has ever known, the Spaniard, to eliminate a man who has bolstered the efforts of the French Resistance. The Spaniard has kept the key to his deadly success a secret, but his target is about to learn of the demonic allies at his command. But his target has secrets as well... an uncanny ability to recover from injury and sets of razor-sharp claws. Fast-forward six decades later, and the newest host of the Darkness power crosses paths with a surprisingly well-preserved and still deadly mutant by the name of LOGAN.

Batman: The Joker's Asylum #5 Two Face

The book closes out with “Two Face, Too!” in which an embittered Harvey Dent forces a kindred spirit with the same physical affliction to choose between murdering Batman or watching his wife get an acid shower. It reminded me of something Aaron Eckhardt said about getting into character for his role as Two Face in The Dark Knight. He said (and I’m paraphrasing here) that Two Face and Batman were both vigilante’s at heart, and that Dent’s altruistic leanings carried over to his life of crime as he forced everyday citizens to make drastic choices. The story ends with our humble narrator (the Joker) leaving the ending up to the reader. (www.comicsbulletin.com)

Batman: The Joker's Asylum #4 Scarecrow

Chapter four, “Dark Knight of The Scarecrow,” chugs along like a textbook horror film--showing us only what we want to see and then dropping the hammer at just the right moment. Joe Harris has a handle on terror, so he leads us down a dark, claustrophobic path shown mostly through the eyes of one of Dr. Jonathan Crane’s first psychotherapy patients after the criminal psychiatrist comes out of retirement.
Feeling sympathy for a bullied teenage girl, Crane decides to take a more hands-on approach to her treatment by intervening. (www.comicsbulletin.com)

Batman: The Joker's Asylum #3 Poison Ivy

“Deflowered,” looks at a vicious killing spree that’s out of character for Poison Ivy. The tale reveals the roots (pun intended) behind her actions as Batman and Commissioner Gordon race to figure out who her next target will be. I’ve always thought that Poison Ivy worked best when she was played up as a champion for the environment, or a guerilla terrorist for botanical life. JT Krul manages to do present Ivy in that way while Guillem March pencils and inks an unbelievably sexy redhead with homicidal tendencies. Yowser! (www.comicsbulletin.com)

Batman: The Joker's Asylum #2 The Penguin

The second showcase, “He Who Laughs Last,” explores the roots of the Penguin’s childhood traumas while shifting gears between his adult interpersonal relationships and the pathos behind both. Jason Aaron does a fine job of giving some dimension and sympathy to Oswald Cobblepot by showing us how he, too, has been hurt--and while his reactions aren’t necessarily socially acceptable, the Penguin does have a fragile human side to him. Batman: The Joker's Asylum #1 The Joker

“The Joker’s Wild!” begins with a morality tale (the running theme of the book) with the Joker (arguably Batman’s best enemy, no complaints here) hijacking a game show and exposing the producers for the sensationalistic figureheads they are. The twist in this tale lies in the fact that the Joker doesn’t kill anyone, defaulting to the practical jokester character from the 1960s who forced his victims to look at the folly of their hypocritical lifestyles. Well, I'm fucked...half of my posts ARE from Marvel Comics, what should I do?
The problem is that I only post comics I stumble upon during my roaming in the Internet. I NEVER scan them myself, traded them for money etc (see disclaimer above), nor save it in my own PC in that matter. What I'm doing is simply compile it (in form of link directing! not content saving, you hear that Marvel!!!) to one place (this blog) so that those who love comics (by Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Images) or manga, can have access to what they like--something which elude someone like me to have them in the past. You know WHY???. Because those comics ARE expensive GODDAMNIT!!! Especially for most teenagers in the third-world country, not to mention that they are NOT published or distributed in those countries. How else comic lovers can enjoy something which they can't get but really love? Turning to the World Wide Web of course.
Comics are simply the uniting factors for this sick world, you know. What unite teenage Palestinian suicide bomber, or a middle class Indonesian like me, with the typically spoiled, self-absorbing, pampered American boys? It is Spiderman, Wolverine, the whole X-Men team, The whole Marvel Universe for that matter you know...
And Marvel try to steal that from us. Yeah STEAL, because the digitally scanned comics are the closest things to happiness we can get to the both real EXPENSIVE or unavailable one.
Of course we respect copyright, and intelectual or creative right or the goddamn Digital Millennium Copyright Act mentioned in the email above, that's why bloggers like me who post comics contents (there are thousands out there) DO NOT trade it for money. "Which part of FREE DOWNLOAD you don't understand?" We gain no single penny from your contents, Marvel! SO it's just ridiculous that you act like what I do (or those thousands bloggers) has cause you major damage in revenue (you should blame other corporate capitalists in your country for that--the economic crisis, you know, it is caused by THEM, not US). You should THANK us, in fact, because what we do is MAJOR ADVERTISEMENT to YOUR products, in which we do volunteerly without any expense in your end whatsoever. You should PAY us, instead of unabashedly bitching to whatever web host service out there about copyrighted content in their servers and ruin or source of web traffic we built with blood and sweats, literally. Because I believe the uploading of your contents (or any other comic publishers) so that it can be downloaded by as many people will give you more profit, it call ADVERTISEMENT you moron! In case you didn't notice, my blog is barely global, it don't even have pagerank!!! I'm but a tiny virus-sized spot to your MASSIVE profit, and I don't believe that this blog ever reached your loyal customers, so what damage can I cause if I even never INSIDE your market? But if you insist on the copyright infringement issue, You'll lose. Remember Napster?
Yeah this kind of thing has happened before, but hey look, we still have those nice peer-to-peer data swap services. We heard of the terms free-wares, free-MP3, now and then. Radiohead even gave their new album for FREE! That, in time, will constitute your downfall, MARK my words!!!

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Movie Trailer

Though the movie is great. I'm still objected about Hugh Jackman starring as my greatest hero in one, two, three, four X-Men movies...Damn! I hate that guy. He's not hairy enough, not short enough and not agile enough to perform Berserker Barrage even with the help of visual effects. Need more clue, try to dress him in yellow...You'll see what I'm talking about.
